Grooming 101: Keeping your pet looking good and feeling great

About a week ago we published a story on how to find a good groomer for your dog. While finding a groomer is a very important part in keeping your pet happy and healthy, that one grooming every month or two is not all your pet needs to keep looking good and feeling great.

In this next series here on Blog Four Paws, we’ll take a look at some home grooming tips for dogs with short, medium and long coats. We’ll also be looking at general ear, nail and mouth care.

Please keep in mind these at-home tips are not a substitute for a professional grooming; these are designed to help keep your dog looking, feeling, and smelling their best in between their visits.  Also, following some of these tips can help your dogs visits to the groomer be more enjoyable and less stressful.
